Salesforce is named in 21,997 job postings and HubSpot in 7,019 — a 3.1-to-1 gap. But the ratio narrows to 1.7-to-1 in RevOps and widens to 5.4-to-1 in Sales Operations.

Across 96,328 analyzed operations and go-to-market job postings collected between January and July 2026, Salesforce is named in 21,997 postings (23%) and HubSpot in 7,019 (7%) — a 3.1-to-1 gap. But the headline ratio hides the more useful finding: the gap is not the same in every role. In Revenue Operations it narrows to 1.7-to-1; in Sales Operations it widens to 5.4-to-1.
The gap by role
| Role class | Names Salesforce | Names HubSpot | Ratio |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue Operations | 62% | 37% | 1.7 : 1 |
| Sales Operations | 61% | 11% | 5.4 : 1 |
| SDR / BDR | 40% | 19% | 2.1 : 1 |
| CS Operations | 22% | 7% | 3.1 : 1 |
| Chief of Staff / BizOps | 8% | 3% | 3.0 : 1 |
| All GTM-adjacent roles | 21% | 6% | 3.3 : 1 |
Why RevOps is HubSpot's strongest ground
Revenue Operations is where HubSpot comes closest to parity, and the reason is visible in the job titles. Sales Operations hiring is dominated by administrator roles built around a single platform — Salesforce Administrator is the single most common Sales Ops title in the dataset, with 283 postings, ahead of Sales Operations Manager at 193. That title has no HubSpot equivalent at anything like the same volume, which pushes the Sales Ops ratio to 5.4-to-1.
RevOps hiring is organized around the revenue process rather than around one vendor's platform, so postings name whichever CRM the company runs — and increasingly both.
One in five RevOps postings names both
3,596 postings name Salesforce and HubSpot in the same job description. That is 3.7% of all analyzed postings, but the concentration matters more than the total:
- 21% of Revenue Operations postings name both
- 10% of SDR/BDR postings name both
- 6% of Sales Operations postings name both
Put differently: 51% of every posting that mentions HubSpot also mentions Salesforce. For a meaningful share of employers these are not competing choices, they are two systems that both exist in the building and someone has to reconcile them. That is consistent with the broader finding in the main report — 68% of RevOps postings contain integration-pain language, the highest of any role.
What this measures, and what it does not
This is hiring-side demand for skills, not market share. A company running HubSpot may hire without naming it; a company migrating from HubSpot to Salesforce will name both for reasons that have nothing to do with steady-state usage. Tool extraction also counts named products only, so a posting that says "our CRM" counts toward neither.
What it does measure well is which skills employers think are worth writing down — and on that measure Salesforce remains the default assumption in operations hiring, with HubSpot strongest exactly where the revenue process, not the platform, defines the role.
How this was measured
These figures come from Inform Growth's 2026 study of 294,483 job postings, collected from public job boards between January 4 and July 26, 2026, with a collection pause in April and May. Tool mentions are extracted with a curated dictionary of roughly 120 named SaaS products with aliases (Salesforce aliases include SFDC, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud). Text analysis covers the 96,328 postings in target and GTM-adjacent roles with English descriptions of at least 300 characters.
